Philosophy and Society, Volume 29, Issue 3 (2018)

We are pleased to announce that Philosophy and Society Journal’s third issue of volume XXIX has been released. This issue has two special topic sections – “Utopian Thought between Words and Action: Seminar with Raymond Geuss” (the seminar took place at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory in Belgrade) and “Bernhard Waldenfels and the Phenomenology of the Foreign”. The new issue also features articles on political morality and neutrality, fictionalism and universals in the philosophy of mathematics, transhumanism and Nietzsche, virtual reality in the contemporary techno-technological environment, as well as reviews of recently published books in the fields of philosophy and social theory.

Philosophy and Society is a peer-reviewed, open access academic journal established in 1987 and published quarterly. The journal was founded by members of the Belgrade “Praxis School”. The journal strives to cover and present key tendencies of contemporary theory and, at the same time, to encourage research in studies of humanities and social sciences. Philosophy and Society has always welcomed contributions from established international academics: from the first issue, with the articles of R. Bernstein and A. Wellmer, to the most recent volumes with contributions from H. Brunkhorst, J. Butler, P. Cobben, M. Ferraris, O. Höffe, J.L. Marion, T. Scanlon, H. B. Schmid, K. R. Westphal, D. Zahavi, and other renowned philosophers.
