Onuf Nicholas

Nicholas Onuf taught international relations at Georgetown and American Universities, Washington, DC, for 28 years. Currently he is Professor Emeritus, Department of Politics and International Relations, Florida International University, Miami, where he taught for ten years. Additionally he is Professor Associado, Instituto de Relações Internationais, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro; Adjunct Professor, School of International Relations, University of Southern California, Los Angeles; and Visiting Professor, Department of Political Science, Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. His books include World of Our Making (1989), The Republican Legacy in International Thought (1998), and International Legal Theory (2008). With his brother, Peter Onuf, he also wrote Federal Union, Modern World (1993), and Nations, Markets, and War (2006).
