Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory became a member of Consortium for Humanities Centers and Institutes

Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory on May 11 2019 became a member of Consortium for Humanities Centers and Institutes. Consortium is an international organization situated at the University of Wisconsin Madison gathering more than 250 Humanities centers, institutes and libraries in the world. The goal of Consortium is to encourage the international cooperation, cultivating the future of the Humanities, developing and generating innovative forms of research, pedagogy and public engagement.

IFDT will be a part of new initiative that started in 2017. One of two pilot projects is a summer school, which will take place in July 2019 in Santiago, Chile on the topic of “Translation’s Theoretical Issues, Practical Densities: Violence, Memory and the Untranslatable”. IFDT is one of ten Institutes that will have a representative.
