Conversation on Luce Irigaray’s book Ethics of Sexual Difference

In Ethics of Sexual Difference, Luce Irigaray exposes an important attitude: Western culture is not ethical and the primary reason for it is the treatment of women and nature. The only way to change it is to rethink and transform our perception of subjectivity, science, philosophy and religion. Due to its argumentation, Ethics of Sexual Difference represents crucial reading of feminist theory opening the door toward understanding of significance of gender, sex, and difference. Translation of this book is not only a serious scientific challenge and endeavor but also academically responsible contribution to spreading and strengthening of feminist-philosophical thought in our region.

Participants in conversation: Sanja Milutinović Bojanić, Tatjana Jovanović, Đurđa Trajković and Kristina Bojanović, the translator, Adriana Zaharijević as discussant.
